Trevor Hunt

Portfolio Manager

Trevor Hunt’s passion for investing began unusually early. At nine he received a $200 inheritance from his great aunt and proudly deposited it into a BMO savings account. When he realized how little interest it earned, he asked a simple but powerful question: Isn’t there a better way to make this grow? His mother arranged a meeting with a family friend who was a financial advisor — and that conversation changed everything. Trevor became fascinated by the idea that you could own a small piece of nearly any company in the world, and even more importantly, that money could make more money. From that moment on, he knew he wanted to help people grow and protect their wealth through smart, thoughtful investing.

He purchased his first stock that same year, and the spark never faded. Trevor formally began his career in the investment industry in 2003 with ScotiaMcLeod, before joining the Langlois Brown team in 2012. Today, as a Portfolio Manager, he plays an integral role in guiding client relationships, building customized investment strategies, and ensuring each portfolio remains aligned with long-term goals.

Clients know Trevor for his calm, analytical approach, paired with a genuine enthusiasm for what he does — the same curiosity and excitement he felt at nine years old when he first discovered the power of investing.

Outside the office, Trevor enjoys hockey, boating, pickleball and relaxing at his family cabin in the Gulf Islands. His favorite way to unwind is opening a bottle of wine and cooking dinner with his wife — especially their handmade pasta carbonara. Trevor lives in North Vancouver with his wife and two children.
